JrCross would like to acknowledge another great rider to the JrCross community. Dustin started riding in the spring of 2008 on a Honda Xr 50. By the end of the Season Dustin already had already taken the championship in the 50 class 7-8 and 4th for the 50cc open class in New Hampshire. In 2009 Dustin raced the 50cc and the 65cc novice class earning himself the championship for the |
50cc class and 4th for the 65 class. Dustin is now working on racing his 65cc in the NHC series and will start training on a 150F for the 85cc class. Dustin is also planning on joining the NEMX series and trying a couple of different tracks for the 2010 racing season.
As we move forward into the 2010 season we wish Dustin and all the other riders a safe and fun year..

Tanner Kemp
Troy, Ohio
(4-6 Class)
Age: 6 |
|
This week we would like to acknowledge a great young rider to the Junior Cross community. Tanner Kemp 4 - 6 JR Class rider from Troy, Ohio. Tanner started riding when he was two years old just running a figure eight and cruising the field in his home town. In march of 2008 he began his racing adventures |
becoming a natural on his bike. The first year racing Josh and Tanner just took it slow racing when the extra money was there as all parents with a child involved in MX can understand this sport is not cheap. By 2009 Josh had a full blown animal when Tanner started launching his bike of jumps and really learning his cornering maneuvers. Josh, Tanners father took Tanner to the to the Loretta Lynn’s qualifier in Michigan were Tanner pulled both moto hole shots and lead 6 out of 8 laps. Unfortunately crashing during both Moto‘s on the last Lap. Tanner Still placed 3rd overall advancing him to the Regional’s at Sunday creek. There did not go well for him. Tanners KTM Jr just did not have a prayer against the 38 Cobra’s ending up dead last into the first turn every moto but still managed to make it up to 19th. Josh mentioned as a race Dad he was not upset at Tanner but the fact that the KTM was freshly rebuilt with everything and still could not keep up with the Cobra. Packing up they went home and sold the KTM the very next day. Needless to say Tanner now races with a cobra and loves it winning the Southwest Mx Series in Ohio.
Tanner now 6 is looking forward to an exciting 2010 with his father. Tanner is hoping to attend Loretta liens, Ponca city and the Mini O’s. With hopefully some new sponsors to help them on their racing adventures.
